# Shipping Hazmat

> How to ship hazardous materials through SimpliSent

SimpliSent supports hazmat shipments under the **Limited Quantity** shipping code only. Limited Quantity hazmat ships via **USPS Ground Advantage**.

## How to Ship Hazmat

1. Create a new shipping label as usual
2. Toggle **Contains Hazmat** on in the shipment options
3. The label is created with the Limited Quantity designation via USPS Ground Advantage

## Common Hazmat Items

Aerosol sprays (hairspray, sunscreen, cooking spray), perfume, cologne, nail polish, nail polish remover, hand sanitizer, essential oils, lithium batteries, battery-powered devices, dry ice, lighters, lighter fluid, matches, paint, stain, varnish, solvents, adhesives, pesticides, pool chemicals, drain cleaners, bleach, hydrogen peroxide, fire extinguishers, and pepper spray.

## Prohibited Items

The following items are prohibited by USPS entirely and cannot be shipped through SimpliSent:

* Explosives
* Ammunition
* Fireworks
* Toxic gases
