# Item Customs

> Item-level customs fields required for each product in an international shipment

For international shipments, you must provide customs data for **each item** in the package. These values are required by customs authorities to classify and process your shipment.

<Tip>
  Use the [U.S. Census HTS tool](https://hts.usitc.gov/) to look up HS codes.

## Tips

* Use detailed descriptions ("Leather wallet" not "Accessory")
* Make sure declared values match your invoices or receipts
* Enter each different product as a separate item line
* Double-check HS codes for accuracy (wrong codes can delay clearance)

<Note>
  Incomplete or inaccurate item data can lead to customs delays, returns, or fines.
