# Pickups

> Schedule, manage, and cancel carrier pickups in SimpliSent

Pickups are currently supported for **USPS** and **FedEx**. UPS pickups are not supported at this time.

## Starting a Pickup

1. Go to the **Orders** page
2. Select the orders you want picked up using the checkboxes
3. Click the **three dots** menu
4. Select **Create New Pickup**

This opens the pickup form where you configure the details.

## Pickup Form

1. **Enter the pickup address** — select a saved address or enter a new one
2. **Choose a pickup date** — select the date for carrier collection
3. **Set a time window** — set the earliest and latest pickup times
4. **Add instructions** — provide details to help the driver find your packages (required)
5. **Set a reference** (optional) — add a name or code to identify this pickup
6. **Get Rates** — click **Get Rates** to see available carrier pickup options and costs
7. **Select a rate** — choose a carrier rate from the available options to confirm and schedule the pickup

<Note>
  You must have purchased labels for the selected orders before scheduling a pickup. All selected orders must use the **same carrier** — you cannot mix shipments from different carriers in a single pickup.

## Carrier Cutoff Times

| **USPS**  | Same-day pickup is not available; you can schedule starting the **next calendar day** in **Eastern Time** (see [EasyPost](https://docs.easypost.com/carriers/usps-guide): the carrier requests same-day by **2:00 AM CST**) |
| **FedEx** | Same-day pickup is not available; you can schedule starting the **next calendar day** in **Eastern Time** (carrier may pick up the same day as your selected date until 7:00 PM local, depending on service)                |
| **UPS**   | Not supported in SimpliSent for carrier pickup                                                                                                                                                                              |

Check your generated pickup options and carrier for exact availability.

## Managing Pickups

From the **Pickups** card on your dashboard, you can view and cancel your scheduled pickups.

### Canceling a Pickup

Click the **X** button next to any scheduled pickup to cancel it. You will be asked to confirm before the pickup is canceled.

## Tips

* Instructions are required — provide clear details like "loading dock at rear of building" or "ring doorbell, packages by front door"
* Schedule in advance when possible to ensure availability
* For USPS pickups, a [SCAN Form](/pickups/using-scan-forms) is automatically generated
